Markov vs LuxAlgo: what each is for.

LuxAlgo is a charting platform, Vela, with a large indicator library, order flow tools and a coding agent, Quant, inside its charts. Markov is a narrower crypto chart that shows Hyperliquid's resting order book, open interest and whale prints beside price, each panel naming its source. They answer different questions: LuxAlgo's tools help you build and test chart logic, Markov shows recorded market structure.

Markov vs LuxAlgo

What LuxAlgo is

LuxAlgo calls itself a trading technology company and describes Vela as its charting platform. Its pages list a Library of 855 indicators, an Orderflow suite (footprint, TPO, volume profile, delta and CVD, large trades) for crypto, US stocks and ETFs, and CME futures, Quant (a coding agent inside its charts), backtesting, replay, paper trading, alerts and a desktop app.

What LuxAlgo does well

  • A very large indicator library, and a coding agent, Quant, inside its charts.
  • Order flow tools built from real trades (footprint, TPO, volume profile, delta and CVD), with the lookback growing by plan.
  • Backtesting in the same platform as Quant, and replay and paper trading among its listed products.
  • A free plan with no credit card required.

Where Markov differs

  • Markov is built for crypto perpetuals. It draws Hyperliquid's resting order book under the candles as a heatmap, free for BTC, ETH and SOL with an account, with open interest and whale prints from Hyperliquid on the same chart.
  • The whale flow pane and the chart's funding pane are on Pro and above. Funding for BTC, ETH and SOL is on the free Derivatives page. Every panel names its source, its state (measured, computed or modeled) and its freshness.
  • It is read-only, with no coding agent, scripting, backtesting or replay, and no indicator library beyond two free TradingView scripts, Session Map and Regime Compass.
  • It covers 8 coins. Its recorded history is short. Free has the last 8 hours on 5m. On paid plans it is growing to 30 days from 14 Oct 2026 on 1h and 4h, 24 h on 5m and 15m, 6 h on 1m.

Measured or modeled, topic by topic.

Markov

  • Markov's Free plan is $0 with an account and no card (BTC, ETH and SOL on the chart). Pro is $49 and Elite $99 a month plus tax, each after a 3-day free trial with a card (not in South Korea), and until you cancel.

Which to use

Choose LuxAlgo if you want to build, test or replay chart logic, use a deep indicator library, or read footprint and volume profile. It does these better than Markov.

Choose Markov if you want to see where Hyperliquid's resting size sits, with open interest and whale prints, in a crypto-only view that says where each number came from.

Many traders use more than one tool. Markov provides research tools and education, not financial advice.

Questions.

Is Markov an alternative to LuxAlgo's indicators?

Not directly. Markov has no indicator library or scripting. It shows recorded structure for crypto: the resting book, open interest and whale prints from Hyperliquid on the free chart.

Can I use both?

Yes. They do different jobs. LuxAlgo is for building and testing chart logic, and Markov shows recorded crypto structure. Markov's Session Map and Regime Compass are free TradingView scripts.

Is Markov free?

BTC, ETH and SOL on the live chart are free with an account, no card. HYPE, XRP, DOGE, SUI and BNB and the longer timeframes are on paid plans, each with a 3-day free trial (not in South Korea), card required. See the pricing block.
