Markov vs TanukiTrade, compared honestly.

TanukiTrade brings options GEX levels onto TradingView charts. For Bitcoin and Ether it uses the US spot-ETF options (IBIT and ETHA). Markov models BTC and ETH gamma from a crypto options venue, Derive, on its own chart.

Markov vs TanukiTrade

What TanukiTrade is

TanukiTrade sells a PRO membership with six TradingView indicators (GEX profile, options overlay, oscillator, screener, 0DTE expected-move box, GEX history) and a minute-refreshed GEX web app, for 250+ US symbols. Its pricing page says BTCUSD is mapped to IBIT and ETHUSD to ETHA.

What TanukiTrade does well

  • Works directly on TradingView charts.
  • Broad coverage of 250+ US symbols, with futures mapped to index options.
  • ETF options are a deep, regulated market. TanukiTrade offers a 7-day free trial and a free Lite tier.

Where Markov differs

  • Its source is crypto-native, Derive's BTC and ETH options, so levels are in BTC and ETH prices without an ETF mapping.
  • It sits on the same chart as resting liquidity, realized liquidations and whale prints, drawn dashed with the venue named.
  • It is narrower, with two coins, one options venue and the Elite plan only, and it isn't on TradingView.

Which to use

Choose TanukiTrade if you want GEX levels on TradingView across US symbols, and ETF-options-based levels for crypto suit you.

Choose Markov if you want BTC and ETH gamma modeled from crypto options, next to the order book and liquidations.

Many traders use more than one tool. Markov provides research tools and education, not financial advice.

Questions.

Where do TanukiTrade's Bitcoin gamma levels come from?

Its pricing page says BTCUSD is mapped to IBIT and ETHUSD to ETHA, so the levels come from US spot-ETF options rather than crypto-exchange options.

Is Markov's gamma available on TradingView?

No. Markov's options walls are a layer on its own chart, on the Elite plan. Its free TradingView indicators (Session Map, Regime Compass) don't use options data.
